Hello 1st Hour and Welcome to your class blog!! We will use this blog for many purposes in this class. Our main purpose will be to learn about blogs and what they are used for. We will also use them to post assignments, do journal entries or simply have class discussions.
My goal is to do one post per week. The blog will be posted on Monday and you have until the following Friday to complete the questions on the blog by leaving a comment. Some posts will be required to be finished in class as an assignment.
Before we begin blogging there are a few ground rules to be set!
1. All posts, must use appropriate school language and completed in paragraph form. When you post, you should be using complete sentences with proper grammar and spelling. NO: U, R, UR, i, CUZ, etc.
2. When Posting a comment, you may agree or disagree with another students comment. However, you must state why you feel that way and must do it in a manner that is polite and non-judgmental. The comments need to be non-personal and refrain from sarcasm and put-downs.
3. You must comment on every article, it is an assignment.
4. You must address the topics and questions posted on the blog. You cannot simply write, “I agree.”
Your first assignment:Your job today will be to introduce yourself. Provide some background information, discuss things you enjoy doing, your family, and your future plans. Then answer the following Questions:

2. Have you ever used/hosted a blog?
3. What would you use a blog for in your personal life?

My name is Mackenzie McPartland. I have been to many different schools. I enjoy jogging, drawing, and playing the guitar. I have one 26 year old brother named Mitch and one 22 year old sister named Megan; both moved out. My mom's name is Lisa; she works at Heitman Steel. My dad's name is Tim and he works at Bohl Equipment. I plan one going to college to get my business degree.

My name is Leah McCloud. I turned 15 on November 9th. I enjoy being with my friends, social networking, texting, and having a good time. I have two sisters that go by Lauren and Logan. I also have a step mom. My two dogs are the funniest things in my life. Their names are Rascal and Sadie. As of right now, I am still unsure of what I plan on doing in my future. I think it would be beyond amazing to go to UCLA.

ReplyDeleteA benefit of social bookmarking is beiong able to share certaion sites with your friends. The circle of ssharing makes everything easier on everyone. Tags are importent because instead of having to search though 2934621384762374 gazillion pages of websites, we can simply type in a word, and vaula, :) 7 results of the above number.
hi my name id harrison king. i have posted a comment here twice already and nothing showed up. i think blogs are really handy though. people can say whats on there mind about something for everyone to see. i am getting used to handeling computers now. in 8th grade i was terible with computers and i was a really slow typer. but things are different now. my chior concert is tonight. i cant bielive how quick it came.
